Ah, Terry, I've been writing about the collective family support of AI contestants, and I know it's confusing. See, right after Taylor's audition, I found the Soul Patrol and joined right up. Not that I said much, just lurked a lot and counted myself among the minions.

Speaking of the Yaminions, that was Moon's group. She also supported Bucky, Ace and Chris. With emphasis on Ace AND Chris, because she belonged to the "Chace" LJ group -- purpose of which was to lust after and create fan fiction about Ace and Chris's friendship. Uh... yeah.

Truth be told, I enjoyed everyone in the top 10, even Kellie (although she lasted longer than she should have). But Taylor was tops for me.

Jeff, the TV stations think that people care about weather coverage above all else. But our Fox affiliate doesn't have a huge local news staff, so they probably weren't prepared to cut in. (Good!) The only interruptions were periodic beeps to remind us that there were warnings going on.

Wish I could watch Canadian Idol!

You mean your local news affiliates don't break in during shows (always during crucial, plot heavy moments) every 5 minutes to tell everyone, "yep, it's still raining?"

That bugs the crap out of me.

Hey, I thought you were a self-professed Yaminion! I was saddened when he left. I didn't watch the penultimate show because I didn't want to see Taylor spaz out and Kat embarrass herself. I watched the Finale (mainly because there wasn't much else on TV) and was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was. WIth some exceptions: as you said, Kat & Meat Loaf (retch). Dionne Warwick sounding like she'd just run a mile and lost her voice. Kellie -- spare me!(someone should put live lobsters in Kellie's bed one night.) Prince -- ooh lala, for me, the highlight of the show.

Mandisa and Paris both have more talent in their pinkies than any other girl on that show. I suspect they didn't want the new Idol to have big hips or be too young.

Bucky's still a-do-ra-ble.

And that's that, don't forget, Canadian Idol starts next Monday!
